Advent House Fellowship
Funding through the 1,001 New Worshiping Communities Grant, an initiative of the Presbyterian Church, USA has allowed an ecumenical team of pastors to more fully shape the worship experience for the community members of Advent House Day Shelter. North Westminster Presbyterian Church has delighted in being part of this effort which has been born out of their partnership with Advent House Ministries.
Advent House Fellowship recently received additional grant funds for a Chaplain who will coordinate the efforts of developing an intentional worshipping community and to offer pastoral care to those in need.
Advent House Fellowship gathers together worshippers who are seeking nourishment for their bodies and their spirits. The homeless and disadvantaged from the Lansing area come to Advent House looking for shelter and a meal, and often the healing and wholeness that can only come through Jesus Christ. As guests gather in the safe caring environment of the day shelter they are offered food, shelter, and a nutritious feast of worship experiences.
Everyone is welcome to join us for worship at 9:45 on Sunday mornings, with breakfast to follow.
